10 year old Ryker was recently diagnosed with B-cell Acute Lymphocytic Leukemia. His mom and our close friend, Amy, is a solo parent to Ryker and Hadleigh, age 8. Ryker is receiving treatment at Children's Hospital in London. The family lives in Stratford (about 1 hour away) so Amy will be back and forth between London and Stratford on a regular basis, caring for Hadleigh while supporting Ryker during his in-hospital treatments. Amy will need to take a leave from work in order to fully support Ryker’s medical needs. We want to help Amy by lessening any financial stress, on top of the emotional stress of seeing her son so ill. She would greatly benefit from financial support for lost income, parking costs, meals, gas for travel to and from Stratford, childcare for Hadleigh, as well as coffee...lots and lots of coffee.
