My name is Ryder Walding and I’m a 17-year-old incoming senior at Soquel High School. I just competed in the 32-mile M2O or Molokai to Oahu World Prone Paddleboard Championships. I was able to place 7th in the men’s 12’ stock board bracket and 25th out of 167 total competitors from all over the world.

I was just notified that I have been accepted to another very prestigious event in California, the Catalina Classic. This is another 32-mile race happening on August 24th from Catalina Island to Manhattan Beach. These races have many costs associated with them, the biggest being the safety boat, captain, and crew.
