In late January, I received the difficult news that I have Renal Cell Carcinoma. My doctors have scheduled surgery for late March to remove the cancer, and there is a chance that my entire kidney may need to be removed. While I am hopeful for a successful surgery and recovery, I know that the weeks ahead will be challenging both physically and emotionally.
The surgery will require me to take two to four weeks off work, which will impact my ability to keep up with living expenses. Although I have insurance, there are significant gaps that leave me responsible for deductibles, out-of-pocket costs, and other medical bills. To make things more challenging, my wife may also have to miss work to assist with my treatment and recovery, which adds to the financial burden on our family. The uncertainty of this diagnosis and the financial strain it brings have been difficult to manage, but I am doing my best to stay positive and lean on the support of my family and friends.
I am reaching out to ask for your help during this time. Any donation, no matter the size, will make a meaningful difference as I focus on healing and getting back on my feet. If you are able, please consider donating or sharing my story with others who might be able to help. Your kindness and support mean the world to me as I face this challenge.
