Ryan, my 15-year-old great nephew, was in a serious snowmobile accident on Tuesday, January 20th, breaking his back in four places. He was riding with his dad and friend when he accidentally hit a stump, causing his snowmobile to fly over a 30-foot ledge. According to witnesses, he wasn't riding fast or recklessly. After three hours lying in the snow, he was life flighted to an Anchorage hospital, where he is now receiving critical care.
The donations will help Ryan recover from surgery, cover hospital expenses, pay for rehab and physical therapy, and provide private care after he is released from the hospital. His parents also care for his special needs brother with autism, so the support will help the whole family during this difficult time. Every contribution will make a real difference as they navigate the challenges ahead.
I would like to ask everyone who reads this to say a prayer for Ryan, send him words to encourage him, share this fundraiser, or donate any amount. Any or all of these requests would be greatly appreciated. To check on Ryan's recovery status, you can visit his mom's Facebook page, Amber Wheat. Your kindness and support mean the world to Ryan and our family as we rally around him on his road to recovery.
