Support Ryan's Journey to Recovery and Hope

In October of 2023, Ryan was injured in a motorcycle accident after being hit by a motorist in NH. Since that day, he has undergone multiple surgeries to repair a broken ankle. After a few months of trying to recover from the surgery, he unfortunately got a very severe infection that admitted him to the hospital for a week and required another surgery to remove hardware that was placed in his breaks and fractures. From there, another recovery, and then clearance was given from his doctor that his fracture was healed and that as soon as his wounds were closed, he could begin physical therapy. After another few months went by and nothing seemed to change, they were being told the same thing every two weeks, so they got a second opinion. Ryan headed to Boston in June for a second opinion, and after several tests, they discovered that he still had a fractured ankle and also an incurable bone infection. Unfortunately, after many discussions on how it could be treated, the decision was made that he would have his partial right leg and foot amputated in September.

Next up, he will be fitted for a prosthetic and rehab.

All this has been a huge financial strain on the family and there is still so much more needed ahead. Any amount would be a huge help for this young family.
