Hello all, we are for your support for my beloved brother, Ryan Taylor. He's a self-employed Chiropractor with a beautiful wife (Kayla) and three awesome children (Paxton, Joslyn and Carson).

Summary: In the last 10 months, Ryan's health has slowly been declining due to chronic inflammation in his skin, and no official diagnosis or treatments to heal him. As a self-employed couple without traditional health insurance, Ryan and Kayla are experiencing financial strains while trying to maintain their businesses, and provide for their family. We are asking for help to ease the burden financially on them, so that their income can be used to seek continued medical and non-conventional remedies for Ryan's chronic inflammatory skin condition. Would you please consider partnering with us to help our sweet family in need?

Also, would you please pray for answers quickly from the doctors and experts Ryan and working with, and that he would experience full healing from this unknown condition. Also please pray that Ryan and Kayla keep their trust in God and their spirits encouraged during this time of hardship.

The Longer Story:

From a young age, Ryan's experienced flare-ups with eczema. He's always been able to manage with different topical treatments. However, in early December of 2024, the severity of the eczema started to become unmanageable with the cream he had been prescribed, and it seemed to only get worse. He stopped using the steroid cream he was prescribed because it was no longer helping his severe eczema, and he also wanted to seek a more holistic way of treating his condition. When he began this process his body started to go through a topical steroid withdrawal (TSW). At the time, we had no idea the side effects this can cause but quickly realized the severity of it.

Ryan started to have very severe skin outbreaks, including open sores, body pain, fatigue, swollen lymph nodes, uncontrollable shaking, and more. We started to do our own research and began thinking it could be something more serious. Then, early January 2025, Ryan ended up in Urgent Care. The physician said his labs were not too worrisome, and she believed he was only going through a prolonged TSW.

We continued research his symptoms, and Ryan tried his best to get through the symptoms while working and managing our business. Most days, though, he was not well, and it was getting harder for him to manage the pain he was experiencing. One day in late January, he woke up unable to move his foot and hand without excruciating pain. Kayla drove him to the ER, and he was admitted with major inflammation and and infection throughout his body, and had severe cellulitis.

He spent four days in the hospital receiving antibiotic treatment. He was able to make an emergency dermatologist appointment a few days after he was discharged. The dermatologist prescribed him Dupixent and he began taking it (Feb 2025).

The first two months on Dupixent helped Ryan’s skin tremendously and it cleared up. However, by the end of March 2025, Ryan started to experience severe eye reactions which was a side effect of the medication. He experienced chronic conjunctivitis (pink eye), and none of the drops that was recommended would help. In June, he stopped taking Dupixent because the eye problems were only getting worse. At that point his skin was clear, he had cleaned up his diet by eliminated most inflammatory food groups, and he was trying several different holistic remedies to help cleanse his body.

After 6 weeks of being Dupixent-free, Ryan’s body began to go through another major flare-up. His eyes were healed but his body was completely covered with sores and redness again. When he visited the dermatologist again, she recommended he try another medication called Adbry so he just started this medication in early September.

So far he has had one dose of the medication and it seems to be working. He also recently had labs taken because the lingering symptoms of swollen lymph nodes, fatigue, etc. are still present. Throughout this journey there have been many unexpected and unplanned missed days of work, out of pocket expenses for doctor appointments, hospital stays, medicine, supplements, etc. Ryan and Kayla are both self-employed, so the challenge and strain has been felt since December 2024. They continue to seek answers to the root cause of it all and are looking for solutions, but they're current income does not allow them to seek out further modalities or tests. They need additional financial assistance to continue this path of healing.

Updates will be posted on here regularly, as we hope this is not a long-term chronic illness, but rather just a set back that can be healed through the correct interventions.
