Support Ryan's Critical Care Journey

Hi, my name is Sunnie and I’ve been a close friend of Ryan’s family for many years.

Last week Ryan was in a very serious accident and is currently in the ICU, with a complicated surgery scheduled in the near future. His condition remains critical and he is on a ventilator. He’s often disoriented and becomes upset when his mom, Josephine, or his sister (whose name we are omitting for privacy - many of you know the nature of her work) aren’t nearby. They are doing everything they can to stay by his side — while also balancing work, daily responsibilities, and caring for Ryan’s daughter.

Josephine is also beginning to plan for Ryan’s long-term needs, as it’s unlikely he’ll be able to live independently for some time.
