Support Ryan's College Fund in Suzie's Memory

My name is Stephanie Guttas, and thank you for reading my sister Suzie’s story.

On May 25th, 2025, our dearest Suzanne Rizek passed away due to a rare neurodegenerative prion disease. Although she fought bravely, as she did in every other aspect of life, there is no treatment, and her path was certain.

The loss of her soul and light has been more profound than we could have imagined. Those who knew her best will miss her kind, helpful, thoughtful, and loyal spirit, and how fiercely protective she was of those she loved. As we search for answers on how we can move forward, our sole focus has become her 6-year-old son, Ryan.

When we think of her legacy and what fueled her light when it was at its brightest, the answer is he did. We are certain that in this moment, there is only one way she would pray for you to honor her. We humbly ask that you consider dedicating a Memorial Gift to our GoFundMe page, which we have set up in Ryan’s honor.

She dedicated her life to protecting him and making sure he has a secure future and foundation to start his life. The funds will be invested in a dedicated college fund, and managed by a trustee to ensure Suzie’s dreams for him stay within reach.
