My youngest son, Ryan, had a seizure on 09/23/24 and was taken by ambulance to UT Athens where they did a CT scan, then an MRI. Next thing we know, we are told he has a mass on his brain and is being transferred to UT Tyler. He underwent more scans and tests, and then brain surgery. We were told they were confident they got it all, but it was a high-grade 3 tumor. The next morning, after post op MRI, we are told they did not get it all and would need to go in for a second brain surgery. So, 2 brain surgeries within a week.

Ryan has his first oncology appointment on 10/14/24 to set up 6 weeks of radiation treatments and chemo treatments. He has a long road ahead of him.

He is 35, a US Navy Veteran and has a 4-year-old son, Kyzer. Megan, Ryan's girlfriend, has gone back to work, but that means they are down to only one income.

Ryan cannot work during this time, and he cannot drive. He is dependent on family. His radiation treatments will be in Tyler, which is about an hour or so away depending on traffic.

Ryan is needing help in funds while he is out of work to fight this. We are filing for all kinds of benefits, but those all take time to process and hopefully approve. Even after radiation and chemo, we don't know how long he will be out of work.

Funds raised will be used for Medical Deductibles, medications, expenses for travel for countless appointments, monthly bills, like car payments, car insurance, rent, food and maybe a little fun in between. Also, Dental expenses, because on top of everything else, Ryan has a bad tooth that needs to be taken care of, no dental insurance. We are trying to get an appointment for that in between all the other appointments.

We truly hate asking for help this way. So, anything to help this family out will be greatly appreciated. If you can't, we understand, and just ask for your continued prayers as Ryan fights this battle.
