Hi friends and loved ones of Ryann,

As many of you know, Ryann is facing the toughest fight of her life. Just as her beautiful baby girl turned 3 months old, Ryann received the devastating news that she has stage 3 invasive ductal carcinoma, grade 3 breast cancer.

Over the past few weeks, Ryann has been juggling an overwhelming number of doctor’s appointments as her treatment plan comes together. She will begin six months of chemotherapy on November 5th, followed by surgery and then radiation. Doctors have told her to expect more than a year of intensive treatments.

This diagnosis has placed an enormous emotional and financial burden on Ryann’s family. She was still on maternity leave when she found out about her cancer, and her leave ends just as chemotherapy begins. With no remaining PTO, she will likely need to take many unpaid days and weeks off for treatments, recovery, and surgery all while caring for her 3-year-old and newborn.

Anyone who knows Ryann knows she is a light in this world endlessly kind, positive, and giving. She’s the first to offer help to others, and now it’s our turn to lift her up. She’s doing her best to stay strong, but she’s understandably scared and overwhelmed, trying to balance treatment, work, and motherhood.
