Let's help the Volz family!
These are people that would give you the shirt off their own back, and this time they need our support.
As many of you know, Ryan underwent a complex open-heart surgery at U of M on January 27th. The surgery was successful, and he now has a mechanical aortic valve, and his aortic aneurysm was repaired.
Unfortunately, his heart rhythm never stabilized after surgery. Just nine days later, Ryan had to undergo another procedure to have a permanent pacemaker implanted.
One week after that, he experienced his first major setback — a stroke that caused loss of his left peripheral vision.
Then, just days ago, Ryan faced another life-threatening emergency: a significant brain bleed that required two immediate brain surgeries to give him the best possible chance at survival and quality of life.
In the past month alone, Ryan has endured more procedures, tubes, incisions, and life-sustaining machines than anyone should ever have to face. He is currently in the ICU, fighting with everything he has.
If you know Ryan, you love Ryan.
He is a devoted son, brother, uncle, husband, and — most proudly — a father. He is everywhere in our community: teaching, volunteering, helping others, and faithfully supporting his kids at every sporting event and music performance. His smile, his kindness, and his willingness to show up for others have touched so many lives.
Now it’s our turn to show up for him.
On behalf of the Volz family and friends, we are asking for support during this incredibly difficult time. Ryan’s recovery will be a long road. He will be unable to work for an extended period as he focuses on healing. Kyle will also need to take significant time away from work as she walks alongside him through this journey.
The medical expenses and extensive rehabilitation costs ahead will be overwhelming. Your generous donations will help ease the financial burden of hospital bills, ongoing care, and long-term rehabilitation.
If you are unable to donate, we completely understand. Your prayers, love, and continued support for Kyle and the family mean more than words can express.
Thank you for rallying around the Volz family during this unimaginable time.
