Ryan Jackson is the heart of our family—generous, thoughtful, and always putting others first. As a devoted husband and the proud father of our 5-month-old son, Wesson, Ryan has always been the one we turn to for help, support, and laughter. At the end of August, Ryan suffered a stroke and underwent brain surgery, changing our world in an instant. He spent three weeks in the ICU and another three weeks in a rehabilitation facility. We are so happy to say that he is now home with me and Wesson, but his healing journey continues.
Ryan’s recovery journey is complex. The stroke affected his right side and his kidney function, making daily life and recovery even more challenging. He faces another major surgery on November 10th to have his new artificial skull piece placed, followed by more time in the hospital and a long road of rehabilitation. We are pursuing alternative therapies not covered by insurance, including working with a functional medicine doctor, hyperbaric oxygen therapy, red light therapy, supplements, neurokinetic massage, and more. These treatments offer hope for reversing kidney damage, restoring brain pathways, and helping Ryan regain his independence.
We are deeply grateful for the outpouring of love and support from our community. Friends and family have visited Ryan in the hospital and rehab facility, prayed for him, and added him to prayer chains across the country. We believe God has answered many prayers and continues to be with Ryan as we pray for his full recovery. Thank you to everyone who has already given financially, provided meals, and cared for Wesson so I could be by Ryan’s side. Your kindness and generosity have brought us comfort and strength through this ordeal. Every contribution will help us supplement our income while Ryan is out of work, help Ryan access the therapies he needs, and bring us closer to seeing him healthy and whole again.
