Support Ryan Hayden As He Battles His Brain Aneurysm

If you're here, it's hopefully because you recognize the sweet face of Ryan Hayden. Ryan has lived, worked, and lit up Portland with his smile for a few years now, and we wouldn't have it any other way.

Last week, Ryan went to the clinic for what he thought was an awful migraine and neck pain, but after a few tests and a CAT scan, they found a brain aneurysm. Ryan was then admitted to Maine Med. On 2/26, Ryan went under for his first procedure, where they placed a coil to strengthen the area of his brain where the aneurysm is. After the procedure, he received a spinal tap where they found blood in his spinal fluids, and he was told he would need to go back under for a second time to see if it was residual blood or if there was a new bleed. On 3/5, Ryan completed the second procedure and remains in the hospital.

If you've met Ryan, you know he has the most contagious positivity and outlook on life. He continues to spread joy even from his hospital bed, where he will be for at least another week. Ryan is a service industry baddie who, unfortunately, does not have health insurance and will be out of work for the foreseeable future.
