Ryan recently suffered a devastating accident while using a miter saw. In a split second, he cut through his left hand just above the knuckles, nearly severing it completely. The hand surgeon told us that, short of a full amputation, this was the worst injury possible. Ryan now faces a long and challenging recovery, with doctors estimating over a year before he regains full use of his hand, if at all, with more surgeries to come. The physical and emotional toll on him and our family has been immense, but Ryan remains in great spirits, determined to overcome this setback.
Ryan is an entrepreneur who just recently started getting his pressure washing business off the ground. This injury is a major setback for the growth of his company, as he will not be able to perform the tasks needed for an undetermined amount of time. Because Ryan is self-employed, he does not have paid time off or any sick days, and disability is not going to provide anything since his business is still in the early stages with little profit recorded. As a result, the family finances will take a big hit during his recovery.
The funds raised will go directly toward Ryan's hospital bills, ongoing physical therapy, surgeries and the many expenses that come with missing work. On top of that, everyday costs like groceries and bills continue to add up for Ryan, Julie, Charlie, and Korben. Our family is doing everything we can, but we know we can't do it alone.
We are reaching out to our friends, family, and the wider community for support. No matter how big or small, any contribution you can make will go a long way in helping Ryan and his family move forward. Your kindness and generosity mean the world to us during these rough times. Thank you so much for your love and support.
