Founded in 2019, The Rendez-Vous Orchestra is a versatile ensemble led by dynamic, like-minded volunteer musicians, performing works of various styles and traditions for diverse audiences throughout New York City. Performing traditional Western Classical and collaborating with emerging composers and soloists, the RVO incorporates improvisation and experimentation, fostering a passion for musical discovery. The group started as a small ensemble of friends and has since grown to a full symphony orchestra.
We are raising funds to help offset costs, such as rehearsal and performance space rental, harp and timpani cartage fees, and the honorarium for our esteemed guest conductor, all for our upcoming concert on April 26. Any amount we raise beyond our goal will go directly towards our next event!
Information on our concert:
Triple Crown: Three Crowning Works, One Night brings together three remarkable compositions in a single, unforgettable evening, led by esteemed guest conductor Alex Wen. Mahler’s deeply expressive Adagietto from Symphony No. 5 sets the stage with its tender beauty. The program continues with the world premiere of Brian Shaheen’s Symphony No. 3 and culminates in Beethoven’s revolutionary Symphony No. 3 'Eroica'. Experience the power, passion, and innovation of these three crowning works in one extraordinary night.
