Support RVA Bunnies in Urgent Need of Care

Donation protected
RVA Street Bunny Society needs your help! We are a completely volunteer-run rescue that focuses on rescuing bunnies who have been dumped and abandoned outdoors.

The bunnies who stay within our care for foster and adoption receive veterinary care including earmite/flea/tick treatment, deworming, and spay and neuter surgeries. Sometimes, bunnies we rescue have more complex health issues and need specialist care.

Recently, we have had an influx of bunnies in need of specialist care. We are short on the funds needed to help them.

Dandelion, a bunny rescued in Chesterfield County in April, was diagnosed with a grade 2 heart murmur during her spay surgery. She needs an ECG and EKG which has been quoted as between $300-500 for the exam fee, sedation, ECG, EKG, and medications.

Flash, a bunny rescued from Chesterfield County late last year, had a mild seizure last week. He needs an exam, bloodwork and an e. cuniculi test, and a CT scan to identify the cause of the seizures. We have received an estimate of $1,500 for these services.

Lastly, we are behind on our spay and neuter bill with the Lynchburg Humane Society Spay and Neuter Clinic since we have had to prioritize so many emergency appointments recently. We owe $1,000 for March and April 2024 and need to pay this bill to continue using their services. They have been an amazing resource, giving us weekly recurring appointments, and we have many healthy bunnies in our care who are waiting for their spay and neuter surgeries to begin finding their forever homes.

Will you help our bunnies?
