Support Ruth's Dream to Conduct in Prague

Dear friends and family,

This has been a special year for me and my family. While taking care of my mother with brain cancer, I have also been supported in my musical journey by my community and by my musician friends, to explore my dream of being a conductor. This March, I was accepted into a program that could really make that dream a reality.

Prague Summer Nights, in Prague and Vienna, will open doors into the world of orchestral playing and conducting, providing me with the mentorship, coaching and connections I need to spread my wings as a musician. The festival will entail playing and conducting rehearsals of towering symphonies in some of the greatest music halls in the world, as well as receiving lessons and masterclasses from multiple professional conductors, including the internationally renowned Marin Alsop. I could not have asked for a more amazing opportunity.

Unfortunately, the festival itself falls far outside the budget of what I can afford with part time work in NH, so I am reaching out to the community for anything you can offer to help cover the large tuition sum -- the cost of a life-changing summer and the beginning of a very special career path. My parents and I will be able to cover the rest, including international travel and housing in Europe.
