My name is Ruthie, and I’m humbly requesting support from my community to help me afford mold remediation and repairs to my personal vehicle.

I cannot occupy or operate the vehicle until the necessary remediation is completed.

This vehicle is linked to my only source of income moving forward. As I’m unable to drive, I am unable to work.

My car suffered significant water damage during recent storms in Washington, which caused an interior leak due to a faulty door seal. Now, toxic mold is growing throughout the interior, and my insurance will not cover the repairs.

I am sensitive to mold due to prior mycotoxin exposure, making this a particularly difficult situation.

I’m at a pivot point now where I can no longer operate without a car. I’m no longer living in walkable neighborhoods, and public transport is not accessible. I'm set to start a new part-time job next week, and I have no other sustainable way to get myself to and from the worksite.

I intend to use all funds raised to pay for thorough professional interior detail cleaning (specifically for mold removal and prevention, a minimum estimate of $1200), any minor mechanical repairs (estimate $800), and/or to help me buy a different vehicle that is safe for me to drive to and from work.
