My name is Ruth Sznajder-Knopp. I am asking for financial help for myself and my husband. My husband is in a wheelchair part of the time; however, the time he is in the chair is increasing. Over the last couple of months, my health has declined, and I have been hospitalized twice. In this time frame, I have also been fitted for a wheelchair. The co-pay for the wheelchair is $991 a month. I have co-pays due from doctors and the pharmacy also. In addition to the medical side, we lost our vehicle, and we are facing eviction from our apartment. We have never been in this type of situation before. Since September of last year, we have lost approximately $2,300 in income that cannot be replaced. My husband and I are both on Social Security Disability; it just isn't enough to cut the mustard, so to say.
