Hi, my name is Michelle Soos, and I am organizing this GoFundMe to support The Leader of the Rescue Pack, a dedicated dog rescue and 501(c)3 charity located in Rowayton, CT. This incredible rescue, where I, my sister and several friends have all adopted amazingly sweet dogs from, is now in urgent need of help.

Recently, a devastating incident occurred. Rusty—fondly known as Mr. Happy—was brutally mauled by an older, deaf rescue dog while Jennifer, the rescue's founder, was outside shoveling snow.

The attack left Rusty with severe injuries, and he is now facing the heartbreaking possibility of having one of his hind legs amputated.

Rusty's Journey & Why He Needs You

Rusty has already endured so much in his life at only 4 years young. Before arriving at The Leader of the Rescue Pack, he faced hardships no dog should ever experience. But under Jennifer's care, he has blossomed into his true self—Mr. Happy. He has found joy playing with the other hounds, gained confidence, and learned what it means to be safe, loved, and warm. He has even gotten used to the best kind of luxury—sleeping in Jennifer's bed!

Now, Rusty is fighting to heal, but the cost of emergency vet care along with the cost and rehabilitation of a possible amputation is overwhelming. His medical bills are piling up rapidly and we need your help to give him the best chance at recovery.
