Support Russ Archibald’s Heart Attack Recovery

Russ Archibald is a husband, father of four, grandfather to seven and growing, brother, and friend to many. If you know Russ, you know that he is truly one of a kind. He's an unforgettable personality that leaves an impact everywhere he goes. Whether at a family get together, work, sports game, or at a local starbucks, people remember Russ. He makes people smile, he makes people laugh, he brings out kindness and love no matter what the circumstance. He has left a mark on us all.

On March 14th, Russ Archibald suffered a major heart attack. He was rushed by ambulance to emergency and began the fight for his life. For two weeks Russ was incubated on full life support, with his heart performing at 25% and additional kidney and liver damage. No matter how dim the outlook, Russ continued to fight. Fight for himself, fight for his wife, his children, grandchildren, and fight to stay with us all. With his family by his side everyday, Russ has continued to beat the odds.

Russ has spent time at 3 hospitals fighting to persevere through numerous operations and challenges. He has had two surgeries to have two separate Impella devices inserted to support his heart. As seen in recent weeks, Russell has made significant strides in his rehabilitation in all phases. He is resilient and has demonstrated a strong desire to live and learn. His energy, humor, love, and strength continue to shine brighter every day.

Through his strength and faith, Russ was blessed with medical approval to receive a Heart Transplant and LVAD device to support his heart. Though the road to recovery is far from done, Russ will be able to come home to his family and friends one day. At this time, Russ will remain in ICU with the support of an Impella device to keep him alive until he is able to have this next operation.
