Support Russ and Family as he Fights to Recover his Health!
Donation protected
Reaching out to our amazing network of friends and family to ask for some support for my brother Russ and his Family.
Some have been aware that Russ was admitted back on the July 5th for intense stomach pain and had to have emergency surgery that night to remove his gall bladder, which has caused many other issues to follow. Russ now has necrotizing pancreatitis, in an acute severe state, which is rare and debilitating. His sickness has also caused damage and impacted other organs in the body. While it is incredibly painful, he has experienced many complications, including AFib, a pulmonary embolism, along with blood clots in his arms and legs.
He has had multiple procedures that have plagued him with all the tubes that have been placed in his stomach for feeding and draining. He is currently fighting infections that have developed to sepsis. Russ is currently in the hospital on day 64 and currently awaiting decision on the next surgical procedure.
Russ has been off work for months now with limited support from his employer because of how Short Term Disability works. I am setting this up in hopes of give him and Christen some relief on the stress of their monthly bills while he is still in the hospital and until he can a get back on his feet. As Russ fights toward recovery to getting better, will be a long road of ahead. As of today, we do not know what condition his body can and will recover to. We are told the road is long and painful.
We ask for your support at this difficult time while Russ fights toward recovery! We have felt very much blessed by all the generosity, love and support from so many throughout this very difficult time for Russ’s family. Special thanks to Christen for being there constantly in addition to all the other responsibilities at work and home, along with our parents, Fran and Mike for the constant support and countless hours at the hospital day and night. This experience has been eye opening for our family to what truly matters, family.
Anything is appreciated during this trying time, even a quick prayer for a speedy recovery.
Thanks and Love
