On March 20, 2025, our world stopped. Roma's twin brother, Ruslan suddenly died at the young age of 45 in Russia. We are raising funds to bring Ruslan's cremated remains back to the United States where he can finally be with us in our home.

Back Story:

As most of you know, Roma and Ruslan grew up in an orphanage in Russia from the age of three. They always had each other; in the orphanage, through high school, in the army (they were assigned to the same tank), and with our beloved Maria's Children. They've always had each other. Throughout the years, after Roma came to the United States, they talked daily; multiple times each day as close siblings do. Ruslan wasn't feeling well days leading up to his death, but no one ever expected his death. He passed away from a pulmonary embolism.

Current State:

Since his passing, we have been working diligently with multiple entities to get his remains back to the US. With the war and current relations with Russia, this has been extremely difficult, running into roadblock after roadblock. Thankfully, we have wonderful friend, Anya in Russia who is assisting us in navigating this process and have found a funeral home in Moscow willing to help us, as well. The money we raise will specifically be used to exhumed Ruslan's cremated remains, prepare them for shipment to the US and ultimately, sending him to us here in North Carolina.
