Annabel again, we've gotten the family out of temporary housing, but have hit a snag with rising prices due to, well, you know. Choosing which bills to pay is bad enough, but choosing food over bills is unsustainable. Now we're trying to pay the electric bill to avoid imminent shutoff.
I'll see about updated details, I'll just leave the older story for now. It raised $3,850 and got them into a house.
=================================================
We are a family of three disabled adults, a mother and her two adult children, who are homeless due to many intertwining circumstances and repeated systemic failures.
For the last month we have been living in a tent, through some pretty serious heat and storms. My eldest uses a wheelchair for mobility and is severely cognitively disabled; my youngest has a connective tissue disorder, autism, and several severe mental illnesses. I have multiple TBIs and am chronically ill.
We need a deposit and help with the first month's rent in an actual house. We have section 8 again now, so we will have help going forward once the inspection is done, but before the inspection, we will be responsible for the full amount.
No housing is really affordable to us without Section 8. Any money raised will go directly to housing the family.

Thank you for any help, and for sharing, that helps too.
