We are a team of SAIT Television Production students based in Calgary, Alberta, raising funds for RUN WITH ME, a 20–25 minute psychological thriller short film being produced as our capstone project.

RUN WITH ME is created by Jasmine King, written by Jasmine King and Julia Cella Alvares, produced by Julia Cella Alvares and Kate Woodward, and edited by Sophie Sciascia and Jasmine King.

The film follows Natasha, a high-achieving teenage track star whose perfectly controlled life begins to fracture as her internal impulses grow increasingly violent. The story explores themes of perfection, control, and the darkness that can exist beneath carefully constructed identities, particularly within young women.

Visually, the film is designed with strong intention. Early moments are bright, polished, and precise, reflecting a carefully maintained facade. As the narrative progresses, the imagery becomes darker, more unstable, and stylized, mirroring Natasha’s psychological unraveling through shifts in lighting, camera movement, and color.

This project is not only a capstone requirement but is also being developed as a proof of concept with the long-term goal of pitching RUN WITH ME as a full television series. Creating a high-quality short allows us to establish tone, visual language, and narrative potential for future development.

This capstone project is being created by a small team of students who are contributing their time, skills, and personal equipment to bring this story to life. All funds raised will go directly toward essential production costs including locations, wardrobe, props, meals for cast and crew, equipment rentals, and post production expenses.
