Hi everyone, my name is Rukiya.
If you know me, you know I’ve spent my life pouring my heart into empowering others and working relentlessly to be the strongest foundation I can be for my son and daughter. I have always worn my independence like armor, trying to be the rock for everyone around me.
But recently, my entire world shattered when I was diagnosed with ovarian cancer.
Hearing those words was absolutely terrifying. My very first thought was of my children. I want to be here to watch them grow, to celebrate their milestones, and to keep building our beautiful life together. I am fighting this disease with every single ounce of spirit I have, but I am facing a mountain I simply cannot climb alone.
The physical and emotional toll of this journey has already been incredibly overwhelming. Just a few weeks ago, I underwent surgery. Now, after already enduring multiple procedures in such a short amount of time, my doctors have told me I must prepare for yet another major, life-altering surgery, followed by a strict medication regimen.
Preparing for another surgery so soon, staring down a long, uncertain road of recovery, and facing the sheer reality of fighting for my life is heavier than anything I have ever had to carry. It takes everything in me to be this vulnerable and ask for help, but I need my village right now. I need your help to shoulder the immense weight of what's ahead so I can focus purely on surviving and healing for my babies.
How you can help:
Every single donation will go directly toward:
* Surgical & Hospital Costs: Helping cover the massive out-of-pocket deductibles and expenses for my recent surgery, my upcoming surgery, and ongoing hospital care.
* Critical Medications & Treatment: The vital prescriptions and medical care required to keep me in this fight.
Whether you can contribute financially, share this link with your network, or simply send up a prayer for our family, your love is my lifeline right now. Thank you for giving me the hope, strength, and support I need to beat this.
With all my gratitude,
Rukiya
