My name is Ruger. I am a 14 yr old pitty that was rescued by my momma at just 4 months old. Momma always tells me that she didn’t just rescue me, but I rescued her as well. We have many great memories together. Momma taught me how to be a copilot on car rides and hiking trips. How to be gentle with all size children and animals. How to behave on and off leash. And so much more. I taught her the meaning of unconditional love.

Since I’ve been getting older, there are a lot less things I can do anymore. No more fetch in the yard for hours, no more long walks or playtime at the beach. Now a days, I spend a lot of time laying around, in pain and discomfort. My legs aren’t what they used to be and sometimes just stop working for some reason. Then momma has to help be up ( and I’m an heavy boy, about 90lbs) and gives me treats that only seem to help for a short period of time.

I wish I could be with momma forever, but I know that’s not possible. Momma and I were gonna try to find the fountain of youth when I was younger, but we just couldn’t find it.

I know my days are now limited and I know it’s almost time to say goodbye.

Momma want to have me cremated. I told her she should have my nose and paw prints done too. That way I’m with her always.

Times are hard right now and money is tight. Any amount can make a difference. Please help my momma end my suffering.
