This is Rufus, our beloved dog. Ordinarily, he has lots of energy (almost too much, at times), a HUGE personality, unbelievable empathy and emotional intuition, and he loves to cuddle.

He has developed cellulitis and is very sick. He has a mass that has developed on the back of his neck, and fluids have started to pool around his lymph nodes. He needs an operation as soon as possible, or necrosis will begin to set in and his condition will be life-threatening. The operation would be a little over 3k without a CT. But, the location of the mass is where a lot of major veins are, so they need to map it out before they operate. With the CT, the cost is 6k. After the cost, fees will be roughly another thousand. The funds will be used to cover the cost of the procedure, as well as the CT scan.

We were not approved for medical loans and cannot afford the surgery. The only other option would be pet-surrender. I really don’t want to lose Rufus, or for Rufus to lose US, in order for him to get the help that he needs.
