My name is Ruby, and I founded Ruffneck Rescue with one simple belief: every dog deserves a chance at life, love, and safety.

Here in West Texas, we are facing an animal welfare crisis unlike anything I’ve ever seen. Stray dogs roam the streets, many suffering from starvation, injury, and neglect. Some are caught in unimaginable situations—abused, abandoned, or simply forgotten. We can’t look away. We refuse to.

Every day, Ruffneck Rescue steps in where no one else will.

We pick up the broken, the fearful, and the forgotten. We provide vet care, safe shelter, and a soft place to heal—physically and emotionally. We drive hours to transport them to safety, coordinate fosters, and fight for every life that crosses our path.

But the truth is—we can’t do it alone anymore.

Our rescue runs purely on donations and the kindness of people who believe that every life matters. Medical costs, fuel for transport, food, and shelter—all of it adds up faster than we can keep up.
