Support Rudy's Journey to a Loving Home

Hello, I'm writing on behalf of a small team of folks committed to Rudy (The Firehouse Pittie), and keeping him as far away as possible from the overflowing shelters of Baltimore City.

Rudy was found in the parking lot of the Glen Ave fire station on May 1st, 2025. He was scared, confused, hot, and thirsty. With a lot of coaxing, I got him in my car and quickly learned I had found the world's sweetest, cuddliest, mush ball, and all-around good boy. He is soulful with unrivaled eye contact and provides velcro-style companionship. He sleeps on his back, snoring, with four feet in the air. He goes outside to use the potty. He loves walks and is SO excited to explore every last inch of the world. He also loves chilling on the couch and providing emotional support while you wrap up that last-minute work deadline.

I'll spare you the timeline of the last 4 days but assure you it's been an exhausting, time-consuming, energy suck yielding few positive results.

In short, Rudy needs a loving home ASAP. He also needs neutering, dental work, vaccines, a heartworm test, a microchip, and ideally hip x-rays. BARCs, performs these services to expedite an adoption because a dog that comes with a $2500 vet bill is not appealing to most. But Rudy is appealing in every way and deserves his chance, and BARCs is full. So, we are funding his vet care to give him that chance and ask that you consider contributing as well. If everyone gave $5, he would have all he needed in a snap, and be that much closer to a positive outcome.
