It takes a village, and we are looking for ours. My brother-in-law, Rudy Gonzales, was admitted to Butterworth Hospital, Grand Rapids, six (6) weeks ago. His wife, my sister Lyn, has not left his side. When he arrived there, he had hardly any kidney or liver function, no voice, and couldn't eat or walk. They said one more day and he would have been gone.
It took nearly four weeks to find out he has an HOH infection and stage four Hodgkin's Lymphoma. Lymphoma cancers are one of the easiest cancers to cure; however, it has spread to other parts of his body. Three different types of chemo have been started, and we are confident he will recover.
As we all know, expenses associated with this can be insurmountable. For those who know Rudy, we can all say there is not a more gentle and kind soul, who would give anyone his last dime.
Please pray for him and his family. If you can help alleviate some of the financial pain and can contribute any amount, it would be so greatly appreciated.
