I'm in grad school at UNM. My wife works really hard, full time. We've done this before. It embarrasses me that I have to go this route again, but we are facing some really huge financial hurdles here in December, in what is otherwise a joyful season. The dogs are fine, by the way.

Here is the information: Our 20 year old car broke down. It will cost at least $600 to fix it. My wife depends on the car to get to work, and to do her work. Right now she is taking Uber to work, that costs $20 per day. My health insurance premium will go up on December 20, from $70 per month to $500 per month. I don't get my financial aid packet (including loans and scholarships in the amount of $15,000), until January 18, 2026. I am panicking as I write this. I don't think I can depend on my family this time. My aunt Joanne died unexpectedly over the Thanksgiving holiday, and they have to find a way to pay for her funeral expenses.

So I am humbly asking for your help. I know this isn't a good time, but I hope that this process with gofundme will give us at least a decent chance to keep our family afloat this month.
