On May 13, Rudy from Gato Rojas Surf School was in a serious car accident in Costa Rica, on his way to Santa Teresa de Cóbano. After a long day of work, while trying to get home, he lost control of his vehicle at night due to poor visibility on the road. He crashed into a streetlight and a wooden fence.
The car was almost completely destroyed, and unfortunately, there is no insurance coverage. Now he is facing high expenses: vehicle towing, emergency medical care, medical exams and and most of all, he must pay around $3,500 for the damaged streetlight.
The car is his main work tool, which he uses every day to get to work and transport his clients. Without it, his ability to work is severely limited. Repairing the car represents a significant additional expense.

El 13 de mayo, Rudy de Gato Rojas Surf School sufrió un accidente de tránsito en Costa Rica, camino a Santa Teresa de Cóbano. Después de un largo día de trabajo, durante el cual intentaba llegar a su hogar, perdió el control del vehículo en la noche, debido a la poca visibilidad en la carretera. Se estrelló contra un poste de alumbrado público y una cerca de madera.
El carro quedó destruido casi en su totalidad y lamentablemente no cuenta con seguro. Ahora enfrenta gastos muy altos: grúa, atención médica de emergencia y exámenes médicos.
El carro es su principal herramienta de trabajo, ya que lo utiliza todos los días para desplazarse al trabajo y transportar a sus clientes. Sin él, su capacidad para trabajar se ve muy limitada. Arreglar el auto representa un gasto significativo adicional.
