Support Rucci's Fight Against Cancer

Friends, Family and Kind Strangers,

My name is Lynsey.

I’m the daughter of Robert Rucci, or as most people refer to him as just “Rucci”.

My dad is a beloved mosaic tile artist based in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, known for his vibrant, community-driven artwork. For decades, he has dedicated his life to beautifying the city and giving back in countless ways. From engaging local children in creative park projects to transforming potholes into colorful mosaic masterpieces, his art is woven into the fabric of the community. Beyond his artistic contributions, he has selflessly delivered meals to the elderly, auctioned his work to support charitable causes, and showcased his talent at History Fort Lauderdale. His passion for art and generosity has left a lasting impact, making Fort Lauderdale a brighter and more connected place. He has spent his entire life giving to everyone that comes across his path.

Early February of this year he went to see a doctor for what seemed like a minor health issue.

What started as a simple check-up turned into a life-altering moment when he was unexpectedly diagnosed with cancer. Naturally, the news came as a devastating shock to him and his loved ones, as he had always been active, vibrant, and full of life. In an instant, everything changed, leaving him and those who care about him grappling with the weight of an uncertain journey ahead.

As you can imagine, this news has turned our world upside down. He is facing a long road ahead, filled with medical treatments, countless doctor visits, and the emotional and physical toll that comes with battling this disease.

On top of the fight for his health, the financial burden is overwhelming. Between treatment costs, travel expenses, and the basic necessities of life, things are becoming more difficult—especially with him and Tami potentially missing work. Our family is doing everything we can to support him, but we can’t do it alone.

If you’re able to donate—no matter how big or small—it would mean the world to us. Every dollar will go toward his medical expenses, transportation , and helping him keep up with everyday living costs while he focuses on healing.

My Dad was admitted to the hospital yesterday. His cancer is aggressive and is causing many complications but today the oncologists were finally able to set up a plan and he starts chemo tomorrow! We are hoping these complications can stabilize so he can continue to fight!
