It is with a heavy heart that we start this fund.

On the morning of May 25, 2024 we lost our beloved Ruby.

Ruby was diagnosed with DIPG, a type of brain tumor that is inoperable and has a survival rate of 0%, on September 21, 2023. This was a “go home & make memories “ type of diagnosis.

Soon after Ruby began a round of radiation therapy and trial medications. After treatment her symptoms lessened and she was able to return to school and buy a little more time to spend with her older brother Aiden, little brother Chris, her mom Monica and the rest of her family & friends.

On March 18th, 2024 we received the terrible news that the tumor had grown and spread to other parts of her brain. Ruby fought hard and endured many battles that no child should ever because of this disease.

Ruby was happy, smart, energetic, and full of sass. She loved to dance, play with her little brother and cook with her grandma. She leaves a huge hole in our lives, deeper and more painful than we could ever have imagined. Any contribution, no matter how small, will help alleviate some of the financial strain during this incredibly difficult time. Beyond financial support, we also ask for your thoughts, prayers, and love as we navigate this profound loss.

We also want to bring awareness to this terrible disease in hopes that one day no child ever has to pass due to DIPG.
