Support Ruby Zarsky's Second Solo Art Show @ Ceradon Gallery

On November 6, 2024, my second solo art show will open at Ceradon Gallery in Los Angeles. There are a multitude of logistics that I am tackling in order to create this show. As such I am reaching out to my community to help make my vision a reality.

First, and foremost, I am an independent, transgender woman artist. I have zero backing, investors or budget. Everything that I am doing is coming directly from me! And, to be blunt, I would like to keep it that way.

Not only am I a DIY trans artist, but Ceradon is a brand new gallery that is owned and operated by two trans femme people as well. Their mission is to create a space for artists like me to show work without compromising their vision.

Spoiler alert: nobody has any money!

Too often, the quality of art is equated to commercial success. This is not how I want to do things.

With your help, I can execute my vision without kowtowing to commercial demands and restrictions.

Your dollars will go to a vast, many things that are required to make this show happen. The list includes but is not limited to: shipping my works from NYC to LA, art materials, travel fees, housing fees, production costs and, most importantly, to keep me alive for the next few months (since I won't be selling my work - which is the sole source of my income - until the conclusion of the show).

$75 gets you a cotton t-shirt with my art on it! All the shirts are hand-printed by yours truly and signed. Please designate your preferred size (pink normal: S, M, L, 2XL, 3XL or 4XL; black crop top: S, M (heart shape), L, XL, XXL) - if I don't have your size I'll give you the closest thing to it :). Also, I will note that if you are overseas you need to donate at least $150 in order to get a shirt bc shipping is quite expensive!!

$500 gets you a shirt and an opportunity to come for a studio visit in Brooklyn, NY.

$1000+ gets you a shirt, a studio visit and together we will pick out an original piece of art, from my back stock of prints, drawings and paintings, that you get to take home.
