Ruby Rae's Figure Skating Dream

I fall down. I get back up. I fall down. I get back up. My name is Ruby Rae and this is basically the story of my life, especially with being a figure skater. I normally skate before and after school at Snoopy's Home Ice and have the best coaching team. Last year I was able to spend two weeks of the summer training at Sun Valley Skating School - and oh boy, was it inspiring and really showed me what is possible when you work that hard skating 6-8 hours a day! One result of the last year of hard work is this will be my first year competing at Showcase Nationals in August!! I am SO thankful for everyone that helped get me to there.

My dream is to compete (and win!) internationally in Ice Dance and then be a professional show skater. My parents are doing their best to give me the opportunity to make my dreams come true, even though it is time consuming and expensive. I would be really grateful and love any help to get me to back to Sun Valley to train there again this July!

Sun Valley Expenses:

Coaching: $150-$200/day x three weeks ($2,500)

Ice Time + Group Classes: $1500.00 for three weeks

Lodging: $4,500 for three weeks

Sun Valley Summer Championship Competition Expenses: $400.00
