Every day, children fleeing violence are kidnapped and sold—unless someone reaches them in time.

Unaccompanied children from Guatemala, Honduras, and El Salvador risk everything to reach the United States in search of safety. Too many are kidnapped, exploited, and sold into labor or sex trafficking along the way.

My name is Rubén Torres. I work on the front lines rescuing these children.

My team and I locate trafficked minors, remove them from dangerous situations, speak directly with the children and their families, and work with consulates to reunite them safely with their loved ones. In some cases, our work leads to the discovery of human trafficking rings.

These children often have no one looking for them.

We become their lifeline.

My purpose is simple: safely bring children home.
