Support Ruben's Battle with Liver Cancer

My name is Evelyn Leon, and I’m reaching out during an incredibly difficult time for my family. I am the eldest daughter, and my family and I are doing everything we can to support my father, Ruben Leon, who has been diagnosed with liver cancer. As you can imagine, this diagnosis has significantly impacted our family, both emotionally and financially. My father, who was the main provider for our family, is no longer able to work due to his illness. He was first diagnosed with cancer a year ago, but unfortunately, the doctors he saw initially weren’t able to offer much help. We sought a second opinion, and now we’re working with a new doctor who has been a tremendous help. However, despite all the medical attention, his condition has progressively worsened. For a full year, my father continued working even while sick to provide for us, which took a serious toll on his body. Most recently, he was hospitalized from March 14–21, 2025, after vomiting blood repeatedly. The medical expenses and bills are piling up. In addition to ongoing hospital visits, we are struggling to afford the medications and treatments my dad needs to fight this illness. To help with these expenses, we’ve set up a fundraising campaign, and we kindly ask for your support. Any contribution, no matter how small, will make a meaningful difference in helping us provide my dad with the care he needs and cover the bills that have become unmanageable without his income.
