Support Ruben Natal San-Miguel

Our dear friend Ruben was savagely attacked and assaulted last weekend near his home in Harlem, and he needs our help. It is truly abhorrent and heartbreaking to have heard this news, and I hope that we can help him during a time of great need and during a time in which hate crimes are rampant. 

Ruben was hospitalized immediately, and his eternally strong spirit and work ethic wouldn't let him stay there for very long. During the attack, he was severely injured- mainly to his upper body, head, face, lost a tooth, and as a 9/11 survivor, I know that PTSD and anxiety will creep back in for him. Ruben has helped so many, I know we can band together to help him get through this horrific time. He also lost his camera during this savage assault, and for a self employed artist, this is the ultimate nightmare.   

Though he checked himself out of the hospital, it was a little too soon out of concern for his career and an upcoming show that he had to check on his prints for.  He is going to require some ongoing medicine and support to get back on his feet. We are also coordinating a print donation to sell on his behalf. This is an urgent matter as Ruben is still recovering at home far too prematurely having left the hospital. Consider how much he has helped others and help him at a time of great need.  Thank you!
