Update: Ruben is out of the coma and awake and talking!!! Praise God Almighty!!! He still has a long way to go. His organs are trying to heal and recover. Please join us in praying for full recover Of his kidneys, liver, and blood platelet levels. He is experiencing pain and he is sleeping a lot but we know healing comes in the rest. Thank you all so much for your prayers and support. His family is beyond grateful.



Ruben Gomez, my dear friend, but more importantly a husband and a father with his 5th child due next month, needs our prayers and support!

Ruben has been struggling with weight loss for some time now and made the big decision to get the gastric sleeve. In a turn of unfortunate events, something went wrong with the surgery and he went into cardiac arrest. They took him back into the operating room to stop the internal bleeding, but so much damage had already been done. Today, Ruben, the sole provider for his family, is in a medical coma. He is on a ventilator fighting for his life. Initially, all his organs were shutting down and the doctors expected the worst, but our God is greater than all our fears. As a community, we have joined together in prayer and, to the doctor’s surprise, he has pulled through the worst of it.

He has a long fight ahead of him, but we will never stop praying and never stop believing that the God of heaven’s armies is doing a great work in him even now. We can feel the presence of Jesus every time we pray over him. Our faith is strong, our God is stronger!

Today, I am asking us to pull together not only in prayer but in financial support. As his family stays close by his side, let us join together and help lift this burden off of their shoulders.

I ask that you give with your heart and I trust that God will make all things work together for the good.
