Support Ruben and Arturo's Recovery Journey

It is with a heavy heart that I write to ask for your support. On October 14, 2024, a horrific act of unprovoked violence occurred in Hull, Iowa. My uncles, Ruben and Arturo, were having lunch together while Ruben’s grandson played in the other room, and they were brutally attacked by an individual under the influence of drugs after he trespassed onto their house.

Ruben sustained severe injuries, including a stab wound near the eye that required urgent reconstruction surgery. He also suffered from three other stab wounds on his upper body. He was airlifted to Sioux Falls for specialized care.

Arturo, was injured in the same incident. He was struck in the face and hit with a chair, resulting in a broken nose and multiple bruises. He got cared for in the Sioux Center hospital.

Both of my uncles are currently recovering from their injuries, and the medical bills are overwhelming. We have started a GoFundMe campaign to help cover these costs.
