Support Ronnie (RT)'s Stroke Recovery Journey

This is Ronnie “RT” Tobias. He is an amazing Grandpa, Dad, Brother, Uncle, Son and Friend to so many.

At the end of March 2025, RT’s life drastically changed at the age of 66, after he suffered a major stroke, which affected movement on his left side, speech and everyday functions.

RT is now starting rehab and extensive therapy to regain his speech and use of his arms and legs and just regaining strength in general after spending four weeks in the ICU. RT’s recovery will include extensive inpatient PT, OT and speech therapy to learn to talk, move, walk and do all the activities he loves.

Before the stroke, RT taught classes at Universal Technical Institute in Irving, TX. His career at UTI stemmed from his love for cars, racing and 30+ years in the auto mechanic field. RT loves to travel, whether it is trips to the Texas coast for family visits and events, hunting at a ranch in Central Texas or to Alaska on a bucket list trip with his best friend. He also has 3 little loving dogs (Freddie, Wilson and Benny) currently being cared for by friends and family.

This GoFundMe is to support Ronnie during his road to recovery and will include any expenses or bills that are not covered by insurance and disability. Any financial support would be greatly appreciated so that RT can focus on recovery.
