I’m now entering my second year as a Resource Specialist Program (RSP) teacher. I work in the public school system, and as you know, the resources we need aren’t always available.

I absolutely love working with my amazing students, but this year I’ve faced some real challenges in providing them with the high-quality learning environment they deserve.

Many of my students benefit from hands-on, multi-modal instruction, and some need calming tools and sensory supports to help them learn and thrive. Unfortunately, my school often doesn’t have the budget to cover all of these essential materials, and I’ve been trying to make up the difference out of my own pocket.

Little by little, the costs add up—specialized tools, learning manipulatives, sensory aids, and extra supplies—to make sure every student has what they need to succeed. I’m committed to giving my students the best education possible, but I’ve realized I need some help to get there.
