Rozlyn’s Fight Against Osteosarcoma
In December 2022, Rozlyn completed 18 months of chemotherapy and radiation for Rhabdomyosarcoma, a type of soft tissue cancer. To save her right leg, doctors had to remove a tumor from behind her knee.
Sadly, in January 2025, an MRI and biopsy confirmed that Rozlyn now has Osteosarcoma (bone cancer) in the same leg. This time, her treatment will be even harder on her little body. The chemotherapy will be much stronger, requiring her to stay in the hospital for three out of every five weeks during each treatment cycle. When she’s not in treatment, Rozlyn will need frequent blood tests and possibly blood transfusions.
In addition to chemo, Rozlyn will face another major surgery — one that will be even more life-altering than the last — to help ensure the cancer does not return.
Her chemotherapy treatments are 45 minutes away in Ann Arbor, and the extended hospital stays will add significant strain on her family. Rozlyn’s mother, Courtney, is an incredible mom who is dedicated to being by her side every step of the way. This has meant cutting back on work hours or, at times, being unable to work at all.
The money raised will help cover essential expenses like bills, food, and gas so Courtney can focus on what matters most — supporting Rozlyn through this incredibly difficult journey.
Your support means the world to their family. Thank you for standing with Rozlyn in her fight.
UPDATE:
