My name is Nina Austin, and I’m raising funds for my 78-year-old mother, Roz Stevenson, who recently became the victim of a devastating phishing scam and cyber fraud. Like many seniors, Roz trusted what appeared to be legitimate communications, but scammers gained access to her financial accounts and, in a very short time, drained her life savings and left her with overwhelming fraudulent credit card debt. Roz lives on a limited monthly income, and her core living expenses—housing, utilities, insurance, and other essential bills—far exceed what she receives each month. The gap is overwhelming, and the stress has been devastating for our whole family—my sister, my husband, my children, and myself. We have reported the fraud and are actively working with banks and credit card companies, but recovery is limited and uncertain. Despite doing nothing wrong, Roz now faces a financial situation no one should have to confront at this stage of life. Our immediate hope is to help reduce the most urgent portions of the fraudulent debt and cover essential living expenses while we pursue every available option for relief, including hardship programs and debt negotiations. Your support will help reduce fraudulent credit card balances, cover essential living expenses during this crisis, and provide stability and peace of mind as Roz works to rebuild. Every donation, no matter the amount, will make a meaningful difference. If you’re unable to give, sharing this fundraiser would be deeply appreciated. Thank you for taking the time to read Roz’s story and for any kindness you can offer during this incredibly difficult time. With gratitude, Nina Austin
