Support Roy's Urgent Cancer Surgery

Hi, my family and I are trying to raise money for my cousin who lives in Mexico for his medical bills. His name is Jafet Hernandez, but we call him Roy. He is 22 years old. He just graduated from college in Morelia, Mich. He studied “Company Administration”. He also played college basketball. He has 2 other siblings, a sister Keity and a brother Yordi.

At first, he complained of just back pain but didn’t think much about it since he thought he was probably just sore from exercising until he started to bleed when he would use the bathroom. That’s when he knew it was deeper than just back pain. Doctors found that he had a tumor on one of his kidneys and just recently they told him it was cancer, the bad kind.

He’s seeing a doctor all the way in Guadalajara which is almost 5 hours away from San Andrés, Mich. We got told he will be having an emergency surgery that will last 36 hours to try and remove his bad kidney and they have to take out everything since the tumor latched onto his kidney and they don’t want to harm any of his other organs. But, we were also told to expect the worst.

We are just trying to help them out with some of the costs and for his operation.

Hola, mi familia y yo estamos tratando de recaudar dinero para facturas médicas de mi primo que vive en México. Su nombre es Jafet Hernandez, pero lo llamamos Roy. El tiene 22 años. Acaba de graduarse de la universidad en Morelia, Mich. Estudió “Administración de Empresas”. También jugó baloncesto universitario. Tiene otros 2 hermanos, una hermana Keity y un hermano Yordi.

 

Al principio, se quejó solo de dolor de espalda, pero no pensó mucho en ello ya que pensó que probablemente solo le dolía el ejercicio hasta que comenzó a sangrar cuando iba al baño. Fue entonces cuando supo que era más profundo que un simple dolor de espalda. Los médicos descubrieron que tenía un tumor en uno de sus riñones y recientemente le dijeron que era cáncer, el cancer malo. 

Está viendo a un médico en Guadalajara, que está a casi 5 horas de San Andrés, Mich. Nos dijeron que lo someterán a una cirugía de emergencia que durará 36 horas para tratar de extirpar su riñón malo y tienen que extirparlo todo. ya que el tumor se pegó a su riñón y no quieren dañar ninguno de sus otros órganos. Pero también nos dijeron que espéramos lo peor. 

Sólo estamos tratando de ayudarlos con algunos de los costos y con su operación.
