Over the weekend, our sweet dachshund Roy suffered a sudden injury that resulted in a slipped disc, a condition known as IVDD (Intervertebral Disc Disease). IVDD occurs when the cushioning discs between the vertebrae in a dog’s spine bulge or burst, causing pain, nerve damage, and—in severe cases—paralysis. After rushing Roy to the emergency vet, we learned that he needs immediate surgery to prevent further paralysis. The surgery cost is around $10,000. The recovery process is long, intensive, and costly, and we’re doing everything we can to give him the best chance at a full, pain-free life. Any support—whether through donations or simply sharing this page—means the world to us and will help Roy get the urgent care he needs.
