Hello,

My name is Erin, and I am reaching out on behalf of my son, Roy.

As you may be aware, Roy underwent meniscus surgery on April 2, 2025. However, his recovery has been challenging, with setbacks and obstacles that have not yielded the desired outcomes.

Roy is scheduled to undergo a second meniscus repair surgery on July 25th. Over the past three months, he has received physical therapy three times a week, serial casting, and has experienced a setback in his healing from the initial surgery. His most recent MRI results (July 3rd) indicate the presence of scar tissue, meniscus displacement, and another tear, which continues to cause him pain, non-weight bearing on his left leg, and necessitates another surgery.

This surgery represents a significant step towards improving Roy’s health and quality of life. I am getting everything ready to go for the most crucial phase of his recovery: rehabilitation. Roy will require consistent and specialized physical therapy to regain strength, mobility, and independence, therapy that is not covered by his insurance.

As a parent, the most important aspect of my life is seeing my child happy, healthy, and thriving. While I am making every effort to support Roy’s recovery, the financial burden of ongoing therapy sessions has become overwhelming. Therefore, I am reaching out to our community for assistance.
