My best friend since childhood, Royel, was recently in a severe motorcycle accident. He is currently stable in the ICU, but he suffered multiple serious injuries, including a broken femur, broken knees, fractured ribs, internal bleeding, fluid in his lungs and stomach, and had his spleen removed. He has already gone through five surgeries, and his journey is far from over. At just 24 years old, Royel has his whole life ahead of him, but right now he’s facing a long, painful road to recovery. Seeing someone so young and full of life suddenly have everything change in an instant has been heartbreaking for everyone who cares about him.
The journey ahead will require extensive physical therapy, ongoing medical care, and time to heal both physically and emotionally. Every day, Royel shows incredible strength and determination, but he can't do it alone. Your support will go directly toward his medical bills and the therapy he needs to get back on his feet. All proceeds from this fundraiser will go to his mom, Teri Zuniga, to help manage his care and recovery.
If you know Royel or have ever been around him, you know he is a light—someone who always shows up for others and is willing to help anyone around him. Now it’s our turn to be there for him. If you’re unable to donate, sharing his story means everything. Thank you for your kindness, prayers, and support as Royel begins this long journey toward recovery.
